Wang Qishan Meets with Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

On April 26, 2019, Vice President Wang Qishan met with Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

Wang Qishan expressed that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China and the UAE have seen intensified high-level exchanges, accelerated implementation of projects in practical cooperation and robust exchanges of people-to-people and cultural engagement and tourism as well as important progress in bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. The Chinese and the UAE governments both have the original aspirations of improving people’s livelihood, stick to the concept of innovation, opening up and inclusiveness and share the important consensus on jointly advancing the Belt and Road Initiative and pursuing mutual benefit and win-win results. Calling respect and understanding the premise of enhancing mutual trust and carrying put cooperation, Wang Qishan called for efforts from both sides to deepen the understanding of each other’s history and reality and constantly advance cooperation in various fields, so as to achieve greater development of bilateral relations.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated on the successful opening of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and said the UAE is ready to deepen its cooperation with China under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative with the Chinese side and constantly inject fresh impetus into bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.
