On April 25, 2019, Premier Li Keqiang met with Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
Noting that China and the UAE are each other's important cooperation partners, Li Keqiang said that bilateral relations have maintained sound and steady development since the establishment of diplomatic relations 35 years ago. Last year, President Xi Jinping paid a successful visit to the UAE, pushing bilateral relations to new highs. Because China has huge market potential, the UAE is welcome to expand its investment in China. The Chinese side is ready to work with the UAE side to give full play to their respective advantages, strengthen all-round friendly cooperation, increase communication and coordination in international and regional affairs, and achieve common development.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the UAE side attaches importance to developing relations with China, and the cooperation between the two countries has gained strong momentum. The UAE side firmly adheres to the one-China policy, supports the Belt and Road Initiative, and looks forward to consolidating strategic relations with China, in a bid to push practical cooperation for more results.
